String Cheese Incident Announces Fall Tour

Just off a hugely successful summer tour that included dates with Bob Weir and RatDog and a Fuji Rock Festival appearance, The String Cheese Incident today announces their Fall Tour plans. Look for the band at some of their favorite theatre stops in the Midwest (Chicago, Ann Arbor, Indianapolis), in the south (Louisville, Roanoke, Asheville and others) and on the east coast (Washington DC, Connecticut, and Worcester, MA). Tickets for SCI Fall Tour go on sale on Tuesday, August 15th at 10 am MDT at www.stringcheeseincident.com

As always, not-for-profit Conscious Alliance will join SCI’s Gouda Causes along tour stops to host food drives to help feed America’s hungry. Attendees are encouraged to bring ten non-perishable food items in exchange for a limited edition rock poster. This season, all donated foods will benefit local America’s Second Harvest Food Banks. The String Cheese Incident has emerged as one of today's most significant independent bands. Born in 1993 in Colorado's Rocky Mountains, SCI has since released 6 albums, 3 DVDs and countless live recordings from their relentless tour schedule. Their relatively short history is packed full of surreal experiences, epic moments, groundbreaking involvement and huge accomplishments. They have been recognized for their commitment to musical creativity and integrity, for their community spirit and philanthropic endeavors, and for their innovative approach to the business of music. And their journey has only just begun.

The band’s most recent studio release, One Step Closer, was released in 2005. On the album SCI divulge their genuine songwriting voice, and it’s every bit as ambitious as you’d expect. Recorded at a friend’s home in the hills of Colorado’s Front Range, and produced by Malcom Burn (Bob Dylan, Chris Whitley, Emmylou Harris, Daniel Lanois), the album’s 13 songs are gritty, free-wheeling and powerfully honed. With each member contributing their part, the collection reveals another masterful breakthrough from one of today’s most visionary and talented rock bands.
